Mary Tyler Moore played newsroom worker Mary Richards on the 1970's Mary Tyler Moore Show. To fit the part of a single working woman Mary's wardrobe was provided by Evan-Picone, a maker of ready-to-wear seperates. The Evan-Picone look was perfect because it was affordable and accessible. Mary's wardrobe was built around separates with dresses thrown in here and there. Knits, pantsuits, striped tops, scarves and warm coats were standards. And we could never forget Mary's signature beret!
